The adidas X 15.1 Leather is the kangaroo-leather edition of the X 15, the speed boot that replaced the F50 adiZero in 2015. Adidas added the leather version in May 2015, swapping the standard boot's synthetic X-Skin upper for K-leather and dropping the Techfit sock collar for a more traditional fit. This pair is in Solar Blue, Solar Yellow and Core Black, the colours adidas used across its X 15 and ACE 15 collection that August.
The super-soft K-leather adds protection and a more natural feel inside the boot, while the rest is the same as the standard X 15.1: the X-Cage, a supportive structure running through the lacing on both sides, and the X-Claw soleplate, adidas's first plate built for both firm ground and artificial grass.
