Nike Superfly 5 FG Tech Craft Black/Metallic Silver

The Nike Mercurial Superfly 5 FG Tech Craft took Nike's speed silo and rebuilt the forefoot in kangaroo leather. It arrived in November 2016 as part of the Tech Craft Pack 2.0, alongside leather versions of the Mercurial Vapor XI, Magista Obra 2 and Hypervenom Phantom, all-black uppers with a  silver Swoosh, launched as a set.

Nike called the hide Alegria, cut from the softest parts of the kangaroo and embossed for a softer touch. K-Fuse bonds the leather forefoot to the soleplate without stitching, so the visible stitching sits outboard where the leather meets the Flyknit. The rest of the upper is textured Flyknit with Speed Rib cabling, 1mm at the heel tapering to 2.5mm through the forefoot, and the leather carries Nike's All Conditions Control treatment. A Flyknit Dynamic Fit Collar handles lockdown through the ankle.

Underneath is a single-layer anatomical nylon chassis with a split-toe forefoot, which Nike claimed was 40% lighter than the carbon plate on the Superfly IV. Chevron blades sit at the forefoot for toe-off acceleration.

This pair is a US 9, brand new without original box, with string bag included. Length is true to size. The fit runs narrow, though the Flyknit gives more than earlier Superfly generations, and Mercurials of this era start tight.
