The Nike Mercurial Vapor 14 Elite in Black, Metallic Gold and Metallic Silver comes from the Shadow Pack, Nike's stealthy seasonal update released in January 2022 as a low-key alternative to the bright on-pitch colourway the pros wore. The boot is blacked out, with gold accents showing mainly through the branding.

The upper is Vaporposite, which evolved from the 2019 Mercurial 360: a grippy grid mesh over a premium lining, with an ACC coating for consistent touch in wet and dry conditions and a knit section through the lacing. A stiff internal chassis sits over the Aerotrak plate, whose grooved central spine and chevron studs are built for quick acceleration and sharp cuts. A large, semi-rigid heel tab doubles as a pull tab.

The Nike Mercurial Vapor 14 Elite in Chlorine Blue, Marina and Laser Orange was Nike's first on-pitch Mercurial look of 2022. Released in January as the Blueprint pack, its colours take their cue from design blueprints. It was a refresh of the Vapor 14 that had launched a year earlier, with the technology unchanged.

The Nike Mercurial Vapor 14 Elite SG-Pro is the soft-ground build of Nike's 2021 speed boot, in the "Progress Pack" colorway that launched on 4 April 2022. Nike made the pack for the Champions League knockout rounds — it appeared in the women's competition first, then the men's quarter-finals. Football Grey sits under a graphic overlay of turquoise, yellow and red, with a redesigned Swoosh in dark navy outlined in those same colors.

The upper is Vaporposite, an evolution of the 2019 Mercurial 360: a grippy grid mesh over a premium Avail Q lining for touch at pace. Reviewers found the material almost plastic in the hand but far more flexible on foot than it looks, with a criss-cross internal thread design reinforcing the surface.

 Underneath is the SG-Pro soleplate, built for soft and wet ground.

The Nike Zoom Mercurial Vapor 15 Elite FG in Pink Foam and Black is part of the 2024 "Mad Brilliance" pack, released in late May 2024 as Nike's boot for the Euro 2024 and Copa América tournaments.

The upper is Vaporposite+, a grippy grid mesh bonded to a premium lining for ball control at speed, held to the foot by an internal Speed Cage and finished with a soft Flyknit collar for lockdown without added weight. Nike redesigned the last after wear-testing on hundreds of athletes, giving this generation a more contoured toe box and tighter heel hold than earlier Vapors.

Underneath, a 3/4-length Zoom Air unit sits in the FG soleplate, with a Tri-star stud pattern up front and dedicated heel and toe-off studs for grip on natural grass.

This pair is a brand new US 9. Runs true to size; expect a snug midfoot with little break-in needed.

The Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Vapor 16 Elite SG-Pro in Grey, Safari Orange and Black is a Player Edition boot from the 2024 Electric Pack, Nike's collection for that summer's Olympics, released July 24, 2024. The look pairs a light grey upper with a Safari graphic in Total Orange and Black.

The upper blends Gripknit, AtomKnit and Flyknit into what Nike calls the thinnest Mercurial upper yet, built to cut break-in time and keep the foot close to the ball. A 3/4-length Air Zoom unit sits in the sole, tuned to elite-level specs, under a wave-shaped traction pattern with chevron studs for grip through acceleration and sharp cuts. As an SG-Pro build, the screw-in studs are made for soft, wet grass and can be swapped out as they wear.

This pair is a US 9, brand new. Runs true to size but narrow through the midfoot. Mercurials have always fit this way, so if you're between sizes or have a wider foot, sizing up half a size is worth considering.
